LT Retires as a Charger: ends 11 year career

LaDainian Tomlinson Retires as a Charger, ends 11 Year Career 

Today the 5th pick in the 2001 draft LaDainian Tomlinson ended his career as he singed a ceremonial contract with the Chargers, so his team he played the bulk of his career with is the team he retires with. Tomlinson led a career filled with yards and touchdowns but no Super Bowls. He started his career in 2001 and until 2009 was a San Diego Charger. His time with with the Chargers ended because on injury and joined the New York Jets for the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

LT was a 5 time Pro-Bowler and 4 time first-team All-Pro and the Second team twice. he won the MVP in 2006 and rushed for over 13,500 yards as he ended with 13,684 yards which is 5th all-time. He also had 145 Rushing Touchdowns which is 2nd All-Time and 31 rushing touchdowns in a season which is the season rushing touchdown record,  which just adds to a wonderful career in which he set and handful of records. His number 21 will most likely be retired by the chargers now that he is retired.

LT is on a select list of the best Running Backs of All-Time. He is a back who's name can be talked about when you mention Walter Peyton and Barry Sanders. He is a running back probably in the top 5 of running backs all-time. This speedy back who Charged the Chargers franchise for 8 years has officially hung up his cleats.
