NBA Basketball Awards: Best Point Guard and Shooting Guard

This is the Klipper's Korner NBA awards as yesterday the Miami Heat, lead by LeBron James won the NBA Finals vs the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 5 game series. A series I thought would be much closer. The awards is give out are: Best Point Guard, Best Shooting Guard, Best Power Foward, Best Small Foward, Best Center, Best Defensive Player, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year and MVP.
I will give out two awards a day from now until I am done and also write other articles.

Best Point Guard

Winner

Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers

Derek Rose, who would have won this award last year came into this year and got hurt and struggled when he was healthy he was one of the best point guards in the league this year but not the Best.  Rajon Rondo, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams all had amazing seasons but Chris Paul brought this season to a new high. He was traded from New Orleans to the LA Clippers and brought a team who struggled greatly its entire time alive and brought it to the second round of the playoffs, in his first year there. He also had help from guys like Caron Butler and even bigger Blake Griffin.  He averaged 19.8 PPG and 9.1 APG. Though Rondo is the best passing point guard, Chris Paul passes the ball and played well as he wins the 2011-12 Klippers Korner Best Point Guard award.

James Harden and Joe Johnson had great years as they were able to score and help their teams advance to the playoffs and in Harden's case the NBA Finals. For Monta Ellis he flip flopped from California to Wisconsin as he went from the Warriors to the Bucks and still was consistent in putting up points. Kobe Bryant, one of the best shooting guards of all-time, had met his match this season in Dwayne Wade. Wade and LeBron James carried the Miami Heat to a final which was Wade's second. Braynt's amazing 27.9 PPG was more than Wade's 22.1 PPG but Wade also had a 4.6 APG to Bryant's 4.6 APG but Wade's talent was more that Bryant's this year and many people may disagree with me but I think Wade had more talent on the floor and a higher PER which was 26.37 to Bryant's 21.95. Kobe is a great player but I think Wade had a better season.
